Northern Lights

Written 2024-10-13

This past Thursday, I had the rare opportunity to see the northern lights (aurora borealis) in Sackville, NB. This isn't the first time this year that a solar storm has made them visible in my area, but it's the first time I've gotten to see them. The first couple of times I missed because I don't read the news or go on Facebook (oops). My friends and I drove to a couple of places around town and had a great time, and I got a couple of pictures:

Taken from "broken bridge" at the end of Bridge St., Sackville.
Taken from Silver Lake, Middle Sackville.

This is the second impressive meteorological event that I've had the privilege of witnessing in the past year, the other being the total solar eclipse, which I watched last spring from Shediac, NB.
