Hardware I Use

This is a list of most of the hardware I use on a daily basis.

Computers

• Lenovo ThinkPad T450
  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD
  • Intel Core i5-5300U @ 2.9 GHz
  • Dual-booting Linux Mint 21.2 Victoria and Windows 10
  • Purchased refurbished in the summer of 2021
• Raspberry Pi 4B (server)
  • 4GB RAM
  • 128GB SD card
  • 128GB USB flash drive for daily backups
  • Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 Bullseye
  • Purchased new in late 2020 to succeed the 2GB Pi that I originally used to host this site.

I also own a Dell Optiplex 380 desktop and a ThinkPad T51, which I use as backup computers (although I really haven't had any issues with my T450, except for one incident when I spilled a large gas station Diet Pepsi on it and had to wait for a replacement keyboard to come in).

Computer Peripherals

• Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 (green switches)
  • Purchased used on Facebook Marketplace in fall 2023
  • Had to replace LED under the B key.
  • I use OpenRazer and Polychromatic to control this keyboard and my Basilisk V3 on Linux.
• Mouse: Razer Basilisk V3
  • OpenRazer supports this mouse's "smart-reel" feature!
• Monitor: Acer Nitro KG241Y M3 (23.8", 1920x1080)
• Docking station: Lenovo ThinkPad 40A2 Ultra Dock
• Microphone: Blue Yeti Nano
• Webcam: Logitech StreamCam
